Mortal Kombat Latest Sales Reach 1 Million


CALIFORNIA - After occupying the number one position as the top-selling game in April, is now the latest Mortal Kombat game 'Mortal Kombat' claimed to be sold over 1 million units.

"Our success with Mortal Kombat in the first months are very menggebirakan, as we have sold more than one million units just to the North American region, "said Martin Tremblay, president of Warner Bros.. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE).

"Netherrealm Studios as the developer can deliver an incredible game, and teams from WBIE also provide good marketing. We would like to thank the fans and colleagues who could make Mortal Kombat as the number one game in April," he added. Similarly, as quoted by USA Today, Monday (05/16/2011).

Game Hunters last week reported that the NPD Group refers to Mortal Kombat as the top-selling game in April. Doug Creutz of financial analyst firm Cowen and Co.. said that sales of Mortal Kombat games are as many as 887 thousand units, well above the predictions Cowen and Co. are only 600 thousand units.

Creutz said that sales of Mortal Kombat in April gave the best years the video game industry since October 2008, as the category of sales.

'Mortal Kombat' (otherwise known as Mortal Kombat 9) is the latest game from the Mortal Kombat series. First launched on April 21, 2011.

L.A. Noire PS3, Xbox 360 pre-order nab top two with $15 Bonus


Rockstar Games’ L.A. Noire to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 took the top two sales ranks this week at Amazon.com Inc. amid a new $15 Bonus with pre-purchase of the product.

This week, the L.A. Noire PS3 SKU ranked as the No. 1 best-selling pre-order product at Amazon’s Video Games division.

The L.A. Noire Xbox 360 SKU ranked No. 2 in the same period.

Amazon this week is offering a $15 Video Games Credit and the Broderick Detective Suit with the pre-order purchase of L.A. Noire.

L.A. Noire is a new open-world action title to be set in the 1940′s.

A new trailer includes a murder mystery plot devised by a serial killer who leaves messages to the authorities.

The PS3 is sold in a 160GB SKU at $299.99 and a 320GB SKU at $349.99.

Playstation Move Console Bundle includes the PS3 320GB SKU, Playstation Move Controller, Playstation Eye, and Sports Champions at $399.99.

Microsoft in Nov. began sale of the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99.

The Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle sells at $299.99.
